The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on Thursday launched an AI chatbot for the PM-Kisan scheme. According to the official statement, this chatbot is currently available in English, Hindi, Bengali, Oriya, and Tamil. It will also soon be made available in all the 22 official languages of the country. Come, let us know about it in detail.

The AI chatbot was launched by Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Kailash Chaudhary in the presence of Agriculture Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Additional Agriculture Secretary Pramod Mehrada. During the event, Mehrada gave a detailed presentation on the features of the chatbot and how it is beneficial for farmers.

The ministry said in a statement that the launch of the AI chatbot is an "important" step towards increasing the efficiency and reach of the PM-Kisan scheme. With its help, farmers of the country will be able to get "quick, clear and accurate" responses to their queries.

The AI chatbot has been developed and improved in collaboration with EkStep Foundation and Bhashini. The introduction of an AI Chatbot in the PM-Kisan Grievance Management System aims to empower farmers with a user-friendly and accessible platform. The AI chatbot in the first phase of development will help farmers get information related to their application status, payment details, ineligibility status, and other scheme-related updates

PM-Kisan is integrated with Bhashini, an AI chatbot accessible through the mobile application, which provides multilingual assistance, catering to the linguistic and regional diversity of PM-Kisan beneficiaries. This integration of advanced technology will not only increase transparency but also help farmers make informed decisions.
