Government is considering maintaining the quality of electrical equipment, these goods will be affected

Poor quality electrical equipment is present in the country. Many times the lives of people are at risk from these devices. In such a situation, the government makes many rules and regulations to maintain the quality of the equipment. The government can make new rules for equipment used for domestic and commercial applications.
The government is raising these rules to stop the import of substandard goods. Along with this, it is also the aim of the government to promote the domestic industry. For this, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has advised the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). A draft control order has also been issued for this.
This rule will apply to all types of electrical equipment. It includes 250V single-phase AC or 415V three-phase AC with rated voltage. According to this order, electrical equipment cannot be manufactured, sold/traded, imported, or stocked unless they bear the BIS mark.
These products include vacuum cleaners, electrical hair shavers, massage equipment, electric steam cookers, electric heating tools, electric coffee makers, and electric food processors.
The Government of India has made certain standards for almost every product to protect the economic interests of all citizens. This standard tells the quality of the goods. ISI mark or BIS mark is printed on electrical goods. A number is also printed with this mark, this number shows its quality. Whenever you buy any electrical item, you should keep these marks in mind. There are many goods in the market on which these marks are fake, so check their number along with the mark.
