Google's millions of efforts are useless, AI-generated content is getting ranked more than original in search algorithm

A recent study has revealed that Google's search algorithm ranks AI and SEO-focused content better than original content.

However, it is also clear that the corporation has made significant efforts to improve search results.

Despite this, people who develop original material have challenges owing to AI. Actually, original content providers are trying to keep their work from being ranked this way by Google's search algorithm.

This issue was discovered by 404 Media. It was discovered earlier this year that AI-generated material was being displayed in Google News in response to simple requests.

In fact, spam material is a significant issue with AI-generated content. WIRED's investigation revealed that AI-generated spam content is a major issue in Google News only after multiple attempts by Google.

Lily Ray, Senior Director of Search Engine Optimization at Emsiv, has confirmed this big problem.

She told WIRED that some of her clients have noticed that their articles have been transformed by AI into content that is very similar to the original content. But basically, there is a mixture of text rewritten by AI.

This investigation has also revealed that some blog sites are completely dependent on AI for text and images.

An Italian marketing agency has also confirmed that it uses AI tools to create content. However, the agency also acknowledged that it respects intellectual property rights at the same time.

When contacted, Google spokesperson Meghann Farnsworth reiterated that their updated spam policies prohibit the creation of large amounts of low-value, inauthentic content in order to rank well on Google.
