Google Pay launches new facility for users, now you can activate UPI with Aadhaar number
All payment companies, which have accepted the role of UPI in digital transactions, are now slowly bringing new updates to make it easier. Payment app Google Pay has now given its users the facility to activate UPI with an Aadhaar number.
UPI, which has revolutionized digital transactions, is being made easier for customers every day so that more and more people can use it.
Google Pay, an app providing payment service through UPI, has launched a new facility for its customers. The company said that now users can activate the UPI service on the app using the Aadhaar number.
After the introduction of this facility, now Google Pay users can set their UPI PIN without their debit card. But users can use this facility only when their mobile number, bank account, and Aadhaar number are linked to each other or in simple language the phone number is one.
Google Pay issued a statement saying that this feature will help crores of Indians who are using UPI and many more users to set up UPI.
After the introduction of this feature on the Google Pay app, now users will be given two options to activate the account. In the first option, users can activate their account through a debit card only, or in the second option, users can activate their account with their Aadhaar number as well. Users can choose either of these two options.
Only last week, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), while releasing the latest figures, had told that a total of 941 crore transactions have taken place through UPI in May.
NPCI said that if we look at the value of these transactions, only in May, a transaction of Rs 14.3 lakh crore happened through UPI, which is 37 percent more than a year ago.
