Gold Silver Price: Gold weakened by Rs 50, silver fell by Rs 1500
Gold and silver prices declined for the second consecutive trading session in the Delhi bullion market. In Delhi, gold prices fell by Rs 50 to Rs 72,250 per 10 grams. Silver also fell by Rs 1,500 to Rs 83,200 per kg.
The Delhi bullion market saw a decline in gold and silver prices for the second straight trading session, following a weak trend in global markets. The price of gold in Delhi dropped by Rs 50 to Rs 72,250 per 10 grams, according to HDFC Securities. Gold had closed at Rs 72,300 per 10 grams during the previous session.
Silver dropped by Rs 1,500 to Rs 83,200 per kg during this time as well. The previous closing price per kg was Rs 84,700. HDFC Securities Senior Analyst (Commodity) Saumil Gandhi said, "In Delhi markets, the spot price of 24-carat gold is trading at Rs 72,250 per 10 grams with a fall of Rs 50."
In the international markets, the spot price of gold on Comex fell by $ 2 to $ 2,308 an ounce. Gandhi said gold fluctuated in the range above $2,300 an ounce amid the search for new signals about US inflation and the Federal Reserve's monetary policy interest rate stance. According to HDFC Securities, however, the price of silver rose marginally to $ 27.50 an ounce. It had closed at $27.15 an ounce in the last trading session.
