GoFirst Airline, which is going through a financial crisis, has suspended its operations till June 22, 2023. This information was given by issuing a notice on behalf of the company. Earlier, the airline had suspended its operations till June 14.
Due to a cash crunch at the beginning of May, the airline completely stopped its operations on 3 May. Since then the company went into the bankruptcy process, due to which the company has not been able to start flying again.
According to the information, a 6-month revival plan has been submitted to the DGCA by GoFirst. In this, the company has been asked to resume operations with a total of 26 commercial aircraft and 400 pilots. The company can start flights from Pune, Bagdogra, Goa, Srinagar, Leh, and Delhi.
It has been said in the notice issued by the company that as you all know that the company has applied for bankruptcy process. We are trying to start booking again soon. We thank you for your cooperation.
The suspension of operations by GoFirst is causing huge losses to the airline. The aircraft leasing companies to GoFirst are asking for the aircraft back. Several aircraft leasing companies have filed a petition with the DGCA regarding this and a decision is yet to be taken.
