‘Girls in ICT India – 2024’ was organized by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India. The objective of this event was to bring girls forward to move ahead in this digital age. For this, the participation of girls in science, technology, engineering, and information and communication technology sectors will have to be increased.

The Department of Telecommunications, International Telecommunication Union (South Asia), Innovation Centre - Delhi, and other United Nations agencies collaborated to jointly organize "Girls in Information and Communication Technology (GICT) India - 2024."
At the function, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership was commended by Isha Ambani. She claims that the government is actively promoting women's participation, and the effects are apparent. Over the past ten years, the percentage of women working in the technology sector has increased by 6%. In order to provide women with career stability, strategies, and tools must be developed to expedite this process.
We should work with the government to ensure that daughters have the chance to lead in the future.
Isha Ambani said about mother Nita Ambani, “It is repeatedly said that if a man is empowered, he will feed a family. Whereas if a woman is empowered, she will feed the entire village. I have full faith in my mother that women are born leaders. Their innate selflessness makes them better leaders. Women employees should be encouraged from the beginning of their careers. Just showing diversity and inclusion on paper will not bring about change."
