Mumbai Police have released the girl who was arrested for sending a message threatening to kill Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after questioning. In a joint operation with Ulhasnagar Police, the Mumbai Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested the accused Fatima Khan, according to an official on Monday. After being taken into custody for investigation in Mumbai, she was released on Sunday.

A threatening message that if Adityanath does not quit the post of Chief Minister within 10 days, he will be murdered like NCP leader Baba Siddiqui, was received on Saturday, on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police.

Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai on October 12. During the investigation of the case, the police came to know that Fatima had sent this message. Fatima, a resident of Ulhasnagar in Thane district, has a BSc in Information Technology (IT) and her mental condition is not good.

Also, the ATS team of Uttar Pradesh will interrogate the accused girl. On Monday, the ATS team came to the city. The ATS team is also finding information about those people who are in contact with her.

An official said on Sunday that Fatima has a BSc in Information Technology (IT). She lives with her family in Ulhasnagar in Thane district. Her father does the wood business. Police said that the mental condition of the accused woman was not good.

Earlier, two more WhatsApp messages were received on the WhatsApp number of Mumbai Traffic Police. Police have identified the accused of sending threatening messages. On October 29, in the WhatsApp message, there was a demand of two crore rupees. It was threatened that if two crore rupees were not received, Zeeshan Siddiqui and Bollywood actor Salman Khan would be shot.

Upon receiving the letter, the police started a search operation and arrested Mohammad Mustafa, a resident of Bandra. Earlier, on October 17, a threatening message was received. In this, the sender had written that if Salman does not give five crore rupees, he will have to face the consequences like Baba Siddiqui. The police had arrested the accused, who was identified as Sheikh Hussain Sheikh, a resident of Jamshedpur in Jharkhand.
