Geeta Phogat Ignites Euphoria at 5th Ekal Run in Kolkata: Thousands Dash for Charity in a Star-Studded Marathon!

Kolkata: The heart of Kolkata pounded with excitement as FTS Yuva, the vibrant youth wing of Friends of Tribals Society, orchestrated the spectacular 5th edition of Ekal Run at Godrej Waterside today. Over 5000 spirited participants, spanning all age groups, laced up their running shoes for a thrilling experience across various categories – 21km, 10km, 5km, and a non-timed/fun run of 3km.
The prestigious event was graced by the presence of Geeta Phogat, the renowned wrestler, alongside other luminaries like Neel Bhattacharya, Rahul Dev Bose, Debadrita Basu, Soumojeet Adak, A K Arya, Surjeet Singh Guleria, and CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal, among others.
Gaurav Bagla, President of FTS Yuva, Kolkata Chapter, expressed his delight, stating, “Having Geeta Phogat at the helm of the 5th Ekal Run added an extra layer of excitement to the event. Running mirrors life, giving back in proportion to the effort invested. This makes Ekal Run all the more exhilarating for the residents of the City of Joy, especially with its noble initiative of educating rural children.
