Gaurav Chopra's upcoming movie 'Lakeerein' to address the issue of marital rape

Gaurav Chopra's upcoming movie ‘Lakeerein’ is set to be released on 3rd November 2023. The trailer of the movie will be launched at Lucknow Uttar Pradesh on 19th October by the Honourable Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Mrs. Anandiben Patel.

The movie addresses the issue around marital rape and aims to shape the traditional Indian mindset the right way and make people realize the importance of consent.

Gaurav Chopra plays a professor-poet in the movie. He has set the bar really high as an actor with his successful projects like Rana Naidu and Gadar 2.
