Gandhi-Jinnah bilateral series will be played between India and Pakistan! PCB made this offer

The Pakistan Cricket Board has made a proposal to the Board of Control for Cricket in India regarding the India vs Pakistan bilateral series. PCB intends to once again organize an annual bilateral series between India and Pakistan. For this, a proposal has also been sent to BCCI by PCB. PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf himself has confirmed this. Zaka Ashraf has said that he has proposed to BCCI to organize the Gandhi-Jinnah Trophy on the lines of Ashes. For this, the cricket teams of India and Pakistan can tour each other's countries one by one.

The last time a bilateral series between India and Pakistan was held at a neutral venue was in 2014. For the last 9 years, India and Pakistan have been clashing only in the ICC and Asia Cup. Whenever the teams of these two countries come face to face, it is no less than a great treat for cricket fans. Along with this, both the cricket boards also get financial benefits.

In fact, apart from the ICC tournament, there have been proposals from Pakistan regarding the India-Pak match before. Former PCB Chairman Rameez Raja had proposed to regularize India-Pakistan matches through Tri-Series in 2022 itself. Under that proposal, Rameez had talked about holding the matches between India and Pakistan at neutral venues.

Currently, the Pakistan cricket team is on tour to India for the ODI World Cup 2023. Earlier, the Pakistan team had visited India for the T20 World Cup. Whereas the Indian team has not played Pakistan for a long time. Even in Asia Cup 2023, BCCI had clearly refused to tour Pakistan.
