Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Samsung launches two new smartwatches, equipped with ECG and fast charging
Galaxy Unpacked 2024: Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 will come with many AI algorithms that will do sleep analysis. It has Novo FDA-approved sleep apnea tracking. The watch also has an ECG and blood pressure monitor. Galaxy Watch 7 is also getting a cashback of Rs 8,000 under the bank offer. At the same time, there is a cashback of Rs 10,000 with the Ultra model.
Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra smartwatches have been launched. Actually, both these smartwatches have been launched at the Galaxy Unpacked event held in Paris. The ultra-model under the first-ever Galaxy Watch series has been brought by Samsung. The introduction of Galaxy Watch 7 comes in two sizes, including 40mm and 44mm. At the same time, Ultra is launched in a 47mm dial. It is supported by LTE and Bluetooth 5.3 in both smartwatches.
Noticeably, the Galaxy Watch 7 price has been pegged at Rs 29,999 for the 40mm size with Bluetooth. At the same time, it is Rs 33,999 for the Bluetooth and LTE variants available in the same size. The price of its 44mm and Bluetooth variant has been kept at Rs 32,999, while the price of the LTE version with Bluetooth is at Rs 36,999. Galaxy Watch Ultra is tipped at Rs 59,999. Pre-orders for the Watch can be done starting today, with sales from July 24. Galaxy Watch 7 is also getting a cashback of Rs 8,000 under the bank offer. The Ultra model has a cashback of Rs 10,000 with it.
The 40-millimeter dial variant of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 weighs 28.8 grams. With the 44-millimeter dial, it tips the scale at 33.8 grams. It has a 1.5-inch display which is Super AMOLED and also comes with an Always On feature. It shall sport the regular model-equipped 3nm Exynos W1000 processor, 2 GB RAM, and 32 GB storage.
It has a Google Wear OS-based One UI 6 Watch at the same time. The 40mm variant comes with a 300mAh battery, and the 44mm comes with a 425mAh battery. Both have support for WPC-based wireless fast charging. Other features in this device include heart rate, oxygen, and sleep tracker—all available in the watch. With that, it is also going to come with many AI algorithms that are capable of sleep analysis. How about Novo's FDA-approved sensing of sleep apnea? It also sports an electrocardiogram and blood pressure meter.
The all-new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is also introduced in the same size 47mm. It weighs 60.5 grams. It comes with a titanium grade frame and a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED always-on display with a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The watches have gotten a rating of IP 10ATM for water resistance. It comes with a 590mAh battery and WPC-based wireless fast charging. It also claims 100 hours of battery backup in power-saving mode. There are many sports modes provided in the watch. It also has an emergency siren.
