Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has praised the budget. He said that this is the first budget which will take us toward green energy. During this, Gadkari again reiterated the point of making India's road infrastructure like America's before the end of 2024. The Union Minister said that going from Delhi to Dehradun and Chandigarh, Jaipur will be made so easy and convenient that people will stop taking flights.
In the budget of 2023-24, Rs 2.70 lakh crore has been allocated to the Ministry of Road Transport. Gadkari said that in order to change the country's infrastructure, more attention needs to be paid to the backward areas. Our priority is infrastructure development.
The Union Highways Minister said that this budget will give impetus to the PM's resolution of a self-reliant India. Soon we will become the super economy of the world, our only competition is with ourselves. The development of the country is linked to the road, development happens only when the road is built. If the road is good then industry will come into the area, due to which people will get employment and unemployment of the people will go away.
On the criticism of the budget by the opposition leaders, Nitin Gadkari said that some people are mindless even after understanding, what would you call them? The work of the opposition is to criticize, they will certainly raise questions on the budget.
At the same time, on the increasing pollution in the capital Delhi, Gadkari said that my health starts deteriorating as soon as I come here. To deal with pollution, we have to increase hydropower, solar power and green energy. This is the first budget which will take us towards green energy.
This is not the first time that Nitin Gadkari has talked about making India like Road America. He also promised to make India's road infrastructure like America's while inaugurating the bridge on the Zuari river in Goa on 29 December 2022.
