The actor also said that apart from Shah Rukh Khan, he also talked to his wife Gauri Khan, and son Aryan Khan.

The actor said Shah Rukh saw my film and before that, he called me and congratulated me, he was very happy. Told him- 'I am very happy, you really deserve it' and I said 'Thank you'. I also spoke to his wife and son. Shah Rukh said that 'Tonight we are going to watch the film'. And I said 'great'. I think after that he saw the film and tweeted about it."

Sunny Deol also talked about his years-old feud with Shah Rukh Khan. The actor said that he called Shah Rukh several times and shared his opinion on many things. Sunny Deol said "On past issues or whatever they were, I say, 'time heals everything and we move on. That's how it should be."

The rift between Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan started during the shooting of the film Darr. Sunny was not happy that Shahrukh's stalker character in Darr was given more attention than he was the hero of the film.
