Former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf passes away

General Pervez Musharraf (Retd), the former president of Pakistan, passed suddenly in a Dubai hospital after a protracted illness, according to Pakistan's Geo News.

The former general, according to local media sources claiming his family members, passed away from Amyloidosis. Due to a complication of his condition, he spent a few weeks in the hospital.

Following the successful military takeover in 1999, General Pervez Musharraf became Pakistan's tenth president. He held the positions of 7th top general from 1998 to 2007 and 10th Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan from 1998 to 2001.
