In fact, according to the report of local media Geo News, the period of judicial custody of Imran in the cipher case has been extended till September 13.

Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan will remain behind bars after the extension of his detention period. Imran had got relief in the Toshakhana case yesterday.

Judge Abual Hasnat Zulqarnain reached the jail today to hear the case of missing Sifar. After the hearing, he ruled that Imran's custody period was being extended. Let us tell you that the cipher is a government document, which Imran had waved during his political rally last year before leaving the PM office.

The trial of the case was held at the Attock District Jail after the Law Ministry's approval amid security concerns expressed by the Ministry of Interior.

According to Geo News, Shah Mahmood Qureshi will also have to appear in court today in the cipher case after the completion of his two-day remand.

In the Toshakhana case, Imran was accused of illegally selling national gifts during his tenure. Imran cannot contest elections because he has been sentenced to three years imprisonment.
