Bengaluru: A case of an Air Force employee trying to commit suicide has come to light from Bengaluru, Karnataka. Regarding the case, officials said that the 49-year-old former Air Force personnel allegedly jumped on the track when the train arrived at Jalahalli Metro Station on Monday morning, but his life was saved due to the timely action of the Metro employees.

A case of an Air Force employee trying to commit suicide in Bengaluru, Karnataka is making headlines. Regarding the case, officials said that the 49-year-old former Air Force personnel allegedly jumped on the track when the train arrived at Jalahalli Metro Station on Monday morning, but his life was saved due to the timely action of the Metro employees.

Metro services on the Green Line were affected for some time after the incident.

According to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRCL), former Air Force personnel from Bihar, Anil Kumar Pandey jumped on the track when the train arrived at Jalahalli Metro Station at around 10.25 am on Monday.

Soon after he jumped, the emergency trip system ETS was operated and BMRCL staff rescued him. As per preliminary information, no injuries have been suffered by him.

The services on the entire Green Line began running normally from 10.50 am onwards. From 10.25 am to 10.50 am, instead of going up to Madurai metro station, four trains were operated in a small loop between Yeshwantpur and Slick Institute, a senior BMRCL official said.
