According to the data released on Friday, foreign currency assets, an important part of the foreign exchange reserves, increased by $ 5.162 billion to $ 592.039 billion in the week under review.
Foreign currency assets assess the impact of an increase or decrease in the value of other foreign currencies like the Euro, Pound, and Yen held in the foreign exchange reserves in comparison to the dollar.
During the week under review, the country's gold reserve increased by $ 2.404 billion to $ 60.099 billion. The Reserve Bank said that the Special Drawing Rights (SDR) decreased by $ 41 million to $ 18.161 billion.
According to the Reserve Bank data, India's reserve in the IMF increased by $ 8 million to $ 4.62 billion in the week under review.
