For the first time in Jaipur, organs were brought by helicopter for transplant, now left for Jodhpur
For the first time in Rajasthan, the government has used a helicopter for an organ transplant. So that an organ transplant can be done on time. Organs have been taken to Jaipur by helicopter. The helicopter first reached Jaipur today in the morning at around 11:30 from Jhalawar, then left for Jodhpur from there.
A team of doctors from SMS Medical College left for Jhalawar by helicopter at around 8:30 am today. Dr. Manish Agarwal, nodal officer of the organ transplant program, said that this team reached Jhalawar. After this, this team left Jhalawar by helicopter at around 10:30. The helicopter reached Jaipur at around 11:30. The helicopter landed on the ground at SMS Medical College in Jaipur. From there the organs were transported to SMS Hospital by creating a green corridor.
Heart, lung, and one kidney were landed in Jaipur. After this, the helicopter left for Jodhpur AIIMS with one kidney and one liver. A team of 4 doctors has come along from Jhalawar. Two boxes have been landed from the helicopter in Jaipur. After this, the helicopter was refueled and then left for Jodhpur. The helicopter will reach Jodhpur at around 1.15 minutes.
Dr. Agarwal said that the donor's family has agreed to donate his heart, lungs, liver, and kidneys. The heart, lungs, and one kidney will be transplanted to needy patients in SMS Hospital. A team from Jodhpur AIIMS reached Jhalawar to get the liver and one kidney. This team reached Jaipur in a helicopter with the SMS hospital team. Then they took the liver and kidney from Jaipur to Jodhpur in the same helicopter.
Dr Ram Sevak, Nodal Officer (Organ Transplant) of Jhalawar Medical College, said that the donor Vishnu is a 33-year-old man. He suffered a head injury during an attack on December 10. He was taken to Jhalawar Medical College Hospital on December 11, where he was operated upon, but he could not regain consciousness.
