The Fitment Committee on Tax Assessment has advised the Council to clarify these matters in its 50th meeting to be held on 11th July. In addition to the recommendations of the Committee, the Council will also consider the report of the Group of Ministers on Online Gaming.
Also, will finalize the framework for setting up of Appellate Tribunal and will also consider the demand of the industry to fully compensate Central GST and 50 percent of Integrated GST in 11 hill states under the scheme of budgetary support.
Explain that the Group of Ministers (GoM) has agreed to impose GST on online gaming, horse racing, and casino at the rate of 28 percent, but Goa has not agreed on the tax on online gaming. Goa has suggested levying 18 percent GST on platform fees.
