A petrol wagon of a goods train parked at Marwar Junction railway station of Ajmer-Palanpur railway section suddenly caught fire. This created a stir at the station. During this, CTI Samdar Singh Rathore present there played an important role in extinguishing the fire by showing unprecedented courage and promptness. Due to this, no untoward incident happened here, otherwise a major accident could have happened to the public and property.
A tanker wagon (BTPN) of a goods train parked at Marwar Junction railway station suddenly caught fire in its upper part. A passenger train came and stopped on the nearby platform. There was an atmosphere of fear among the passengers. At the same time, Samdar Singh Rathore, working as CTI at Marwar Junction, risked his life and took out a fire extinguisher from a coach of a passenger train parked nearby and extinguished the fire in the petrol tank of a parked goods train.
He first climbed from below and then climbed the ladder on the tank and risked his life to avert a major accident. North Western Railway Employees Union appreciated this act of Samdar Singh Rathore.
