Fire breaks out in a firecracker warehouse in Banswara, 14 people badly burnt; fire brigade vehicles reached the spot
Rajasthan: A firecracker warehouse suddenly caught fire on Thursday afternoon in Reico Industrial Area Pipalva. Explosions occurred after the fire. 14 people working inside the warehouse were burnt in the accident, while the fire brigade had to work hard to control the fire.

A fire broke out in a firecracker warehouse in Industrial Area Pipalva of Banswara at around 2.15 pm on Thursday afternoon. There was a massive explosion after the fire twice. As soon as there was a blast, a huge crowd of people from the surrounding areas gathered there, while on receiving news, Kotwali police station and fire brigade also reached there.
On the instruction of Kotwali police station in-charge Devi Lal Meena, the wall of the warehouse was brought down with JCB. Then CI Devi Lal himself went inside and started putting out the fire using the fire brigade's hose pipe. The fire was almost getting controlled when there was a massive blast, in which CI, police personnel, and fire brigade personnel had to move to the open air.
At the time of the accident, there was a laboring couple and 4 children in the warehouse, who were rescued without any harm. However, people around the warehouse had gathered around after hearing the sound of the blasts. In such a situation, 12 people got burnt due to the sparks after the blasts. All of them were immediately admitted to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital. Out of the 14 people who got burnt, 2 have burnt hands and feet. The rest are out of danger due to minor burns.
On getting information about the incident, ADM Abhishek Goyal reached the hospital and took information about the injured. Later, Collector Dr. Indrajit Yadav and Superintendent of Police Harshvardhan Agrawala also reached the hospital. He said that no one was seriously injured. According to the information, the plot on which the warehouse is built is allotted to a businessman named Ashok Agarwal. The plot owner has given it on rent to firecracker businessman Sonu Sindhi. RIICO is not aware of this. Here, despite the information given by the police after the incident, the plot owner and the firecracker owner did not reach the spot.
