OPG Mobility, formerly known as Okaya EV, has expanded its lineup with the launch of the Ferrato DEFY 22 electric scooter at the India Mobility Global Expo 2025. The starting price of this model has been kept below Rs 1 lakh, ex-showroom. While its pre-booking is on with a nominal booking amount of Rs 499.

Talking about the design, the scooter features a sharp, extended front apron with the company's badging on the side panel and a hexagonal LED headlamp. Other key highlights include dual-level floorboards, sharp lines on the side panels, a single-piece grab rail, and a sleek taillamp.

The DEFY 22 comes with seven dual-tone color options, including colors like Champagne Cream, Black Fire, Coastal Ivory, Unity White, Resilience Black, Dove Grey, and Matte Green.

The Ferrato Defy 22 draws power from a 1.2 kWh motor, which helps attain a top speed of 70 kmph. This model offers an ICAT-certified range of 80 km on a fully charged battery. Talking about the battery pack, it comes fitted with a 2.2 kWh LFP battery. The model has three riding modes: Eco, City, and Sports.

The scooter rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and boasts a 7-inch touchscreen display offering smartphone connectivity and related features including navigation and music.

The model gets telescopic front forks and dual shock absorbers at the rear for suspension duties. Braking is courtesy of disc brakes on both wheels with CBS. This makes it one of the few electric scooters in India that offer disc brakes on both wheels. Apart from this, the scooter gets 25-litre under-seat storage.
