Father's Day, the unbreakable bond carried over years, started in the 20th century in Washington.

Today, June 16, 2024, many countries celebrate Father's Day to pay homage to their beloved fathers in the world. Have you ever imagined why we celebrate this day and when it started in the early 20th century in the US? The idea of Father's Day was inspired by Mother's Day by Sonara Smart Dodd, who wanted to create a day to honor her father, a Civil War veteran and single parent who raised six children.
In 1910, Sonara approached local churches, government officials, and businesses to make it happen. After much struggle and campaigning, Father's Day was officially recognized as a holiday in Spokane. Over the years, the idea was accepted in other states too and eventually became the national holiday in the United States in 1972.
Fathers are the backbone of family; they are as compared to soldiers for family. They keep their lives behind them and work tirelessly to fulfill the dreams and expectations of their families. Let's celebrate and show gratitude to all the fathers in the world who became the torch and supporting hand to their families. This tradition of Father's Day allows families to strengthen their soulful bond and appreciate the selfless attitude of their fathers. This year, let's not celebrate this day with just "Social Media" wishes; inspite, give the precious gift of time and memories to your father, making this the best day for them.
