Farooq said - G20 in Kashmir-Ladakh, why not in Jammu: BJP said - the people of the valley are moving forward, do not become an obstacle in their development
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Tuesday asked National Conference President Farooq Abdullah not to become an obstacle in the progress of Jammu and Kashmir. After many years, an international program is going to be held in Srinagar. Why is it bothering them?
In fact, Abdullah had targeted the government on Monday and said that it is unfortunate that G20 meetings can be held in Ladakh and Kashmir, but not in Jammu. Also said why no BJP leader is speaking on this.
Tarun said that development and progress are taking place in Jammu and Kashmir, so why do you have enmity with it? Why are you jealous of people's faith in the Prime Minister? Jammu and Kashmir are no longer going to stop in the journey of peace and development. He said that G20 will open a new way for the rapid progress of tourism, industries and business in Jammu and Kashmir. People here are moving forward, don't be an obstacle in their progress.
On the question of delay in assembly elections of senior leader Ghulam Nabi Azad, he said that elections will be held. The BJP-led central government conducted DDC (District Development Council), BDC (Block Development Council) and Panchayat elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Thousands of people have been selected for this. The high voter percentage shows the faith of people in Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He said that every DDC member won by thousands of votes. Such polling was not seen during the Lok Sabha elections. People voted freely. Showed full faith in democracy and Prime Minister.
He said that since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019, all efforts have been made for peace and development in Jammu and Kashmir. We have zero tolerance towards terrorism. There has been a reduction in terrorist attacks, terrorist incidents and the number of terrorists. Jammu and Kashmir have moved towards development.
