An explosion occurred in a gelatin factory (blast in factory Kerala) in the Kakkanad area of Kochi, Kerala. During this time, at least one person died and four other people were injured in the accident. Police gave information about this incident on Wednesday.
According to news agency ANI, the deceased has been identified as Rajan Orang, a native of Punjab. The injured have been identified as Najeeb, a resident of Edappally, Sanish, Pankaj, and Kaushiki, residents of Thoppil.
Police said that an FIR has been registered in the incident (gelatin factory blast Kerala) under section 174 of CrPC and further action is being taken.
According to police, the explosion occurred in the storage area of a dustbin at Nitta Gelatin Company in Kakkanad around 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police said that the cause of the explosion (blast in factory Kerala today) will be known only after a detailed investigation as the company has not used any chemical that caused the explosion.
Officials further said that a scientific investigation will be conducted today to find out the cause of the accident.
He said that more information is awaited on the matter.
