Excise department caught illegal liquor in Nohar of Hanumangarh, truck driver absconded

The Excise Department arrested a liquor-loaded truck in the area of ​​Nohar police station of Hanumangarh district, carrying out a massive operation to curb illicit liquor transportation. The liquor-loaded truck was on its way from Punjab to Gujarat. The estimated value of the liquor loaded in the truck is Rs 78 lakh. The Excise Department team was successful in the operation and arrested the truck, but the driver of the truck escaped into the darkness.

Nohar Excise Department area inspector Amar Singh disclosed that the informer provided him with information, owing to which the road along CPS Resort in the Rawatsar area was sealed by him and his team in the morning hours of Saturday. Truck UP 78 DN 4225 was stopped and checked along the way. In the search, 980 cartons of various Punjab-manufactured English liquor of various brands were found in the truck containing a total of 11,760 liquor bottles. The liquor seized is estimated to cost around Rs 78 lakh.

Inspector Amar Singh said that this liquor was to be sent from Punjab to Gujarat via Hanumangarh-Bikaner. Regarding this big action, he said that five such big actions have been taken in the last two months and such actions will continue in the future as well. Hussain Khan, Ramesh Kumar, Rajveer, Kehar Singh and Laxmi Chand of the Excise Prohibition Squad Nohar team played an important role in this action.
