EWS will get exemption in Anganwadi Supervisor Recruitment: Approved from Startup Policy Cabinet, will set up Wonder Cement Plant in Jaisalmer, will invest 4200 crores
The cabinet has approved the new start-up policy of the state. In this new policy, provisions have been made to provide facilities and packages for start-ups to move forward. Several decisions have been approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. EWS and MBC category candidates will also now get relaxation in the upper age limit for recruitment to the post of Anganwadi Supervisor.
The cabinet has amended the Rajasthan Integrated Child Development (State and Subordinate) Services Rules, 1998. With this, candidates belonging to the Most Backward Classes and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will also get relaxation in the upper age limit like the reserved category for the post of Anganwadi Supervisor. There is a provision of relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit for direct recruitment from Anganwadi worker to the post of Supervisor, with an additional relaxation of 5 years for reserved category candidates. Now this relaxation will be available to other reserved categories as well as candidates belonging to the most backward and economically weaker sections.
Wonder Cement will set up a big cement plant in Jaisalmer. The cabinet has approved the allotment of 400 hectares of land to Wonder Cement for industrial purposes for the cement plant and railway siding in Jaisalmer. 377 hectares of land will be given for a cement plant in Parewar of Jaisalmer tehsil and village Sonu in Sam tehsil. 23 hectares of land will be allotted for railway siding and roads. 4200 crores will be invested in this project and 1500 people will get employment.
Hostel wardens in tribal hostels will now be women only. The cabinet has decided to fill the post of hostel superintendent grade-2 in girls' hostels of the tribal regional development department only from female candidates. Male candidates will not be engaged for this post.
In addition to the dependents of the martyrs, the cabinet has decided to provide government jobs to the dependents of the army-paramilitary force personnel who have become permanently disabled. This amendment in the rules of 2002 has been approved.
The candidates of the area included in the new schedule area in the state will get the benefit of reservation in government jobs. The cabinet has approved the proposal to give the benefit of reservation to the youth of that area due to the increase in the scope of the scheduled area in the state. The Central Government had extended the scope of Scheduled Areas (TSP Areas) in Banswara, Dungarpur, Pratapgarh, Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Pali and Sirohi districts.
Approval has been given to transfer the lying vacant lands and buildings belonging to Water Resources Department, CAD, IGND for the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project. The cabinet has also approved raising money for ERCP by selling or leasing the lying vacant lands of these departments.
