Elon Musk has his eyes on this viral app of Twitter, deal can happen at any time
Elon Musk: TikTok's future and January 19 deadline: TikTok's future now rests on the January 19 deadline. ByteDance will either have to sell its US operations or shut down services in the country.

Elon Musk is now eyeing the Chinese short video app TikTok. Speculation has intensified about the future of TikTok's US operations. There are reports that Elon Musk may be a potential buyer, but TikTok has rejected these claims and called them "completely fictional".
A Bloomberg report on Monday said that Chinese officials are in preliminary discussions on selling the US part of TikTok to Elon Musk. This situation will come when TikTok faces a possible ban in the US. Under this proposal, Musk's social media platform 'X' could take control of TikTok's operations. TikTok's 170 million users in the US could be linked with 'X's' comprehensive advertising framework. The estimated value of this deal could be between $40 and $50 billion.
This is a result of the increased national security concerns that the US has over TikTok's parent, ByteDance, and its links to the Chinese government. ByteDance has a "golden share" structure of the Chinese government, giving Beijing an influential position, which US lawmakers believe that type of structure is bad for data privacy and security, and because of that reason alone, many consider it would be sufficient enough to sell off or ban TikTok from the nation completely.
