Electric workers died due to electrocution in Jaipur. He had climbed the pole to fix the power line. Scorched by the blow, he fell down on the ground. Ramnagariya police station handed over the dead body to the family members after taking action against Panchnama. The father of the deceased has filed a case of death due to negligence against the contractor. Police have started the investigation by registering an FIR.
Police said that Roopchand (38), a resident of Sikandra Dausa, died in the accident. He used to work with Avtar Singh, an electrical contractor, living in Jaipur. Roopchand was doing electrical work for a long time. On May 11, the contractor went to Kishanpura with Avtar Singh to repair the power line.
It is alleged that the contractor Avtar Singh made Roopchand climb the electric pole without safety equipment. Roopchand got electrocuted while repairing the power line. Due to the electric shock, he came down to the ground and fell down. Roopchand was admitted to SMS Hospital in severe burn condition. Where he died during treatment. The father of the deceased, Hari Singh Gurjar, on Friday, lodged a case of death due to negligence against the contractor.
