The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken action against OSF (Open Society Foundation), an organization financed by American billionaire George Soros, and its allied organizations. ED raided the OSF and its allied offices in Bangalore on Tuesday. The raid was conducted on the charge of FEMA law violation.

According to media reports, ED raided the premises of OSF and some other international human rights organizations on the charge of violating FEMA law. OSF is an organization backed by American billionaire businessman George Soros. It is alleged that OSF funded several organizations and the guidelines of FEMA law were violated in the use of this funding. So far OSF has not issued any statement on ED's action.

Hungarian-American billionaire George Soros and his organization OSF have been accused of working against Indian interests. The role of George Soros in the Adani-Hindenburg controversy was also seriously questioned. OSF was established by George Soros in 1999. The ruling authorities alleged that the Congress party is trying to 'destabilize' the country with the support of George Soros. George Soros is one of the richest persons in the world and is said to have assets of $ 7.2 billion i.e. Rs 61 thousand crores.

US billionaire philanthropist George Soros has been accused of using his wealth and influence to shape politics and change power. In 2020, he made a billion-dollar commitment to a new network of universities to fight the growth of nationalism. He has also criticized Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi Chinese President Xi Jinping and former United States President Donald Trump. In 2020, Soros, addressing a session at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, criticized the Modi government and said that nationalism is on the rise and he added that it is like the 'biggest shock' in India.

After this, in February this year, billionaire George Soros came into controversy in India after his remarks against PM Narendra Modi on the Adani-Hindenburg issue. Union Minister Smriti Irani then hit back at Soros and said that billionaire Soros is trying to undermine India's democratic process.
