There are seven plates inside the earth, which rotate continuously. The place where the collision of these plates is more is called the fault line zone. Due to repeated collisions, the corners of these plates start twisting. Due to excessive pressure, these plates start breaking. When the plates break, the energy inside finds a way out. The disturbance caused by this causes earthquakes.
Iran is the Zagros mountain range. These mountains are formed by the collision of the Arabian and Eurasian plates. These mountains have been formed due to the earthquake cycle. Due to the frequent collision of the Arabian and Eurasian plates, earthquake tremors repeatedly occur in the Zagros Mountains. However, fracking is also responsible for this. Oil is extracted by injecting liquid into the mountains through fracking. This disturbs the balance inside the ground and earthquake tremors are felt.
