An underpass connecting the Basai flyover on Dwarka Expressway to Sectors 102 and 102A of Gurugram is going to open on Monday. This information has been given by issuing a statement by the National Highways Authority (NHAI).

This underpass is four-lane and 548 meters long. Its purpose is to facilitate the flow of traffic on both sides and provide easy access to Sectors 102, 102A, 103, 106, Kherki Majra, Basai, Dhankot, and other nearby places.

According to the project authorities, the road surface has been made, all the lights have been installed and the final touches are being given.

According to media reports, a senior official of a company associated with the project said, "The underpass will open by Monday. We have installed all the necessary fixtures, which are being cleaned now."

Further, according to a senior GMDA official, the underpass will soon be connected to the proposed road from Sector 102-102A to AIIMS in Bhadsa village of Jhajjar.

Residents of Gurugram will be able to commute to Jhajjar and other hospitals now that this connecting road is open. The Public Works Department (PWD) will construct this road that will run through the villages of Mandkola, Budhera, and Dhankot. The process of acquiring land has begun.

Manohar Lal Khattar, then Chief Minister, inaugurated the Basai flyover in April 2023. However, in order to maintain traffic flow during construction, the NHAI had to construct service roads on both sides of the subway. According to NHAI officials, the completion of the subway has been delayed due to legal disputes over land acquisition on the western side of the Dwarka Motorway.
