The sensation spread in the region after the half-burnt body of a person was found in Nokna village of Varda police station area of Dungarpur district. The police reached the spot and started an investigation after receiving the information. The FSL team was also called, which lifted evidence from the spot. Murder has been suspected by the family members of the victim.
According to local people, some people were busy harvesting wheat crops in Nokna village on Tuesday. During this time they saw a half-burnt body in the field. Soon this news spread throughout the village and a large number of people reached the spot. The villagers immediately informed the police.
Varada police station in-charge Sunil Chawla said that the body has been identified as Soma (55) son of Nathulal Roat, a resident of Navapadar village of Obari police station area. On receiving the information, the family members of the deceased also reached the spot. In the report given to the police, they alleged that Soma was murdered and the body was burnt.
Considering the seriousness of the incident, Sagwara Deputy Roop Singh and CI Madan Khatik also reached the spot. In addition to this, the FSL team was also called from Udaipur. FSL experts Giriraj Prasad Pathak and Gaurav Dutt collected evidence from the spot.
The post-mortem of the body was conducted on Tuesday at Sagwara Government Hospital mortuary, after which the body was given to the family members. The police have started action in the case on the report of the family members and other facts. The police are investigating from all aspects at present.
