Dubai: It had been 10 years since the son was seen, the Indian couple reached Dubai to meet and got the news of his death

When the Indian couple reached Dubai to search for their missing son, they found that their son had already died. The Khaleej Times reported on Tuesday that the deceased had died of a heart attack and the body was lying unidentified for several days.

The parents had not seen their son for 10 years. He always asked his son to return back to India, but he always refused. According to Khaleej Times, the deceased man lived alone in Dubai and had little contact with many people.

According to social worker Ashraf Thamarassery, the man was facing many problems in his hometown after his engagement was called off. Thamarassery told The Khaleej Times that he never returned home after the engagement was called off. After losing contact with their son for several months, the worried parents decided to travel to the UAE to search for him.

The report states that since he had a lot of information about his son, he knocked on the doors of many houses in search of him. After several days of searching, the parents traced the abode of their son and came to know that he is no more in this world.

After the son's death, the parents went to the mortuary where they identified their son's body and completed the necessary formalities for repatriation. Ashraf told The Khaleej Times, 'I can never forget the sadness on the parents' faces.'

There are estimated to be over 3,860,000 Indian expatriates living in the UAE, which is more than 38 percent of the country's total population. In June this year, 35-year-old Indian expatriate Neethu Gansh died of electrocution while taking a shower at her home in Dubai.

Earlier this year, a 48-year-old man from Kerala went missing from the UAE and was found dead in a Pakistani jail. The Pakistani government handed over the body to the Indian authorities at the Attari border.
