According to the data released by DET, 3.76 lakh passengers travelled to Dubai during January-March last year.
In the first quarter of 2023, 4.67 million international travelers visited Dubai. This number was 39.7 lakh in the same quarter last year. In this way, on an annual basis, there has been an increase of 17 per cent in the number of international passengers in Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council expressed his happiness over the increase in passenger numbers, saying that the achievement achieved in the first quarter of 2023 shows that Dubai is rapidly growing among the world's leading tourism destinations. managed to emerge.
He further said that the tourism sector is not only a strong pillar of Dubai's economy, but Dubai also acts as a bridge between markets, cultures and regions of the world.
It has been told DET that there is an increase in the number of passengers coming to Dubai from every part of the world. International passenger arrivals from CIS and Eastern Europe, MENA, Americas and Australia have crossed Q1 2019 levels, while international passenger arrivals from South Asia and Western Europe are close to pre-Covid levels.
