At present all the injured have been admitted to Bashir University Hospital in Sudan. However, it is not yet clear which party is behind Sunday's drone attack.
This is the highest number of civilian deaths since the civil war that began in Sudan on April 15. The scope of the attack is now increasing towards residential areas. The struggle for control of power has been going on here since April between the army and paramilitary forces.
More than 4,000 people have died in clashes between the army and the RSF, according to UN figures for August. The civil war has forced large numbers of people to be displaced. About 71 lakh people have left their homes due to violence. 11 lakh people have taken refuge in foreign countries and lakhs of people are living elsewhere within the country.
According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, the situation in Sudan has worsened due to the civil war that started in April. There has also been an increase in the number of refugees since April. This number has reached 7.1 million. While 1.1 million refugees have taken refuge in neighboring countries.
