Rail Accident: There was a tremendous collision between two freight trains in Jharkhand on Tuesday. After the accident, the engine of the train caught fire. During this, both the drivers died.

All of us are filled with the horrific memories of the collision between the two freight trains in Jharkhand's Sahibganj district. NTPC loco pilot Gangeshwar Mal, who perished in this accident, was to retire on April 1. Before that, he was on his last journey. His family had planned to give farewell dinner to him. Was expecting his arrival. Today is sorrowful.
His family members live in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. His house is called Jiaganj Niwas. In sorrow, he said that he had pledged to join the dinner. His daughter said that April 1 was his last working day and then he intended to devote quality time to his wife, son, and daughter.
She said, 'We heard that Baba was waiting at the signal point while returning when the engine of another goods train coming from the opposite direction hit his loco directly.' When Gangeshwar's body was being taken back from Jharkhand by his family members, his daughter expressed grief and said that our world had been destroyed.
Earlier, two people were killed in a collision between two goods trains in Jharkhand's Sahebganj district on April 1, i.e., early Tuesday. According to the police, the collision between two trains operated by power company NTPC took place near Bhognadih in the Barhet police station area at around 3 am. The track on which the accident took place is also owned by NTPC and is mainly used to transport coal to its power plants.
Sahebganj sub-divisional police officer Kishore Tirkey had told PTI, "The drivers of both the goods trains were killed in the head-on collision." Eastern Railway spokesperson Kaushik Mitra said, "Both the goods train and the track belong to NTPC. It has nothing to do with the Indian Railways." The line on which the accident took place connects NTPC's Kahalgaon Super Thermal Power Station in Bihar's Bhagalpur district to the Farakka Power Plant in West Bengal's Murshidabad district.
