Don't waste time in discussions of election politics, Prashant Kishor taunts leaders after exit polls

Political expert Prashant Kishor on Saturday took a dig at fake journalists and loudmouth politicians after the release of exit polls. He appealed to the people not to waste their time in useless discussions. The exit polls released on Saturday predicted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take power again as Prime Minister for the third time. The BJP-led NDA is expected to win this general election with a huge majority.

Posting on social media platform X, Prashant Kishor said, "Next time when there is talk of elections and politics, do not waste your precious time in this useless discussion on fake journalists and loudmouth politicians." Jan Suraj Party chief Prashant Kishor claimed that BJP can win 303 seats in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.

Before the release of the exit poll, Prashant Kishor spoke on the performance of the BJP-led NDA and said, "According to me, BJP can come back with some good numbers this time. I do not see any significant change in the number of seats. The party got good support in the East and South regions." He said that BJP's seats and vote share are likely to increase in the South.

Prashant Kishor said that the BJP has increased its efforts to increase its presence in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu. Many exit polls claimed that the BJP would open its account in Tamil Nadu and Kerala and would win a one-sided victory in Karnataka. He added that the BJP may lose slightly in Bihar, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Haryana. However, the BJP's position in Uttar Pradesh is expected to remain unchanged.

In this Lok Sabha election, the BJP used the slogan '400 Paar' to promote its alliance. Currently, three surveys predict that BJP+ will win 400 seats or more. If the exit polls are correct, Modi will equal the record of Jawaharlal Nehru, the country's first Prime Minister, by leading his party to victory in elections for the third time in a row. In the 2019 elections, the BJP won 303 seats, while the NDA took 353. Congress was given 53 seats, while its allies received 38.
