The former Union minister also said that Modi has shown that a leader becomes great not by his power but by his commitment and conviction to empower people.
After inaugurating the Skill Center of Excellence set up by Rotary Delhi's Foundation at Wazirpur here, Naqvi said that change does not come by chance, but by determination and dedication.
He said that India's tag of a "poor country" has been replaced with "the fastest growing economy in the world".
Naqvi said that the disease of policy paralysis that existed before 2014 has been eradicated by the determination to reform, perform and transform under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
He said that from being part of the "Fragile Five" economies before 2014, India has now become the world's fifth-largest economy under Modi's leadership.
He said that India has become one of the most preferred investment destinations and the country has emerged as a major manufacturing hub today.
Naqvi said that India has achieved a record export target of $770 billion in 2022 and the country, which was ranked 142 in Ease of Doing Business in 2014, has now moved up to 63rd position.
He said that India has become an economy of more than three and a half trillion dollars and has also become the second-largest mobile phone manufacturer in the world.
The BJP leader said the country witnessed a record Goods and Services Tax collection of Rs 1.87 lakh crore in April 2023.
Naqvi said that during the last nine years, the Modi government has not only brought the marginalized sections into the mainstream of the economy but has also ensured inclusive empowerment of all sections.
He asserted that the stability of India's economy despite global tensions and problems has enhanced the country's credibility across the globe. Naqvi said that the whole world is looking towards India with faith and hope. Noting that India has the largest youth population in the world, Naqvi said that the skill development of youth is the need of the hour.
He said that the Kaushal Kendra set up by the Rotary Delhiites Foundation would play an important role in the job-oriented skill development of the youth.
