Ranbir Kapoor starrer Brahmastra Part-1 Shiva has been in the news since its release. The film also broke many records of earnings on the very first day itself. From the third day of the release of Brahmastra, the release date of its second part has started being discussed on social media. Film director Ayan Mukerji talked about this in an interview.
Talking to The Indian Express, Ayan Mukerji said, "Our target to release Part 2 of Brahmastra is December 2025. However, he has not announced the date yet. We have a target for the film. We want to make the film and are planning to release it in the next three years. This is also a difficult time for us. From part 1 of Brahmastra, we have learned how such films are made.
Ayan further said work on the script of the sequel of Brahmastra is going on from the first part. We have also done a lot of research and correction for the story. All this we did amidst the Pandemic. With this, Ayan further said – It is not so important to go on the film floor as to finalize the release date of the film. Going on the floor means shooting, but a film like this requires pre-production, VFX and post-production work. However, we will go on floors as soon as the core team of the film is ready.
The budget of Brahmastra is 410 crores. In such a situation, this film has so far earned 119 crores only in Hindi. It earned 134.5 crores in all languages. After seeing the earnings of the first and second day of the film, trade pundits had said that the film will touch the 200 crore mark in the next two days. However, this did not happen.
