Dharmendra's first wife Prakash Kaur said about his relationship with Hema Malini – I do not accept her
Dharmendra's first wife Prakash Kaur on Hema Malini: Dharmendra married Hema Malini in the year 1980 without divorcing his first wife Prakash Kaur. Now, when Dharmendra's second family was not seen in the marriage of his grandson, an old interview of Prakash Kaur has started going viral on social media.
Veteran actor Dharmendra always keeps his personal life private and rarely talks about it. Recently, his recent Instagram posts for his second wife Hema Malini, and daughters Isha and Ahana have brought him into the limelight once again. Dharmendra married Hema Malini in the year 1980 without divorcing his first wife.
Hema and Dharmendra first met in 1970 while working on the film Tum Haseen Main Jawaan. Over the years, the two fell in love with each other even though Dharmendra was a married man and had four children, including actors Sunny and Bobby Deol. Reportedly, Hema's parents were also against the match. However, the two got married and Esha Deol was born in 1981, and their daughter Ahana Deol in 1985.
When Hema and Dharmendra got married, many things were said and the veteran actor was also called a womanizer. However, in an interview with Stardust, Prakash Kaur defended her husband and said, "Why only my husband, any man would prefer Hema than me. How dare someone call my husband a womanizer? While half the industry is doing the same thing? All the actors are having affairs and they are getting married for the second time."
Furthermore, she also clarified that she did not blame Hema for whatever happened between her and Dharmendra, but said that she would never do what Hema did. Prakash Kaur said, "I can understand what Hema is going through. Even she has to face the world, her relatives, and her friends. But if I were in Hema's place, I would not be her." Would have done what he did. Because, being a woman, I can understand his feelings. But as a wife and a mother, I don't approve of them."
Despite everything Prakash said, he never lost respect for Dharmendra. She had said that Dharmendra is the 'first and last man' of her life. She said that he is the father of her children and that she "loves and respects him a lot." Prakash also said that 'what happened was done', but he did not know whether to blame Dharmendra for this. Or luck. She said that if she ever needed Dharmendra, she knew he would be there for her. She said that she did not lose her trust in him because he was the father of her children.
