Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari Reveres Guru Gobind Singh on Birth Anniversary, Worships Historic Sword at City Palace

Jaipur– Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari marked the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, the 10th Guru of the Sikhs, with a heartfelt tribute at the Sarvtobhadra Chowk of City Palace. Commemorating the occasion, she offered floral tributes to the revered Guru's photograph and performed a worship ceremony for his historical sword.

Reflecting on the significance of Guru Gobind Singh's sacrifice and bravery, Diya Kumari expressed that his enduring tale will continue to inspire generations. Following the tribute, a soul-stirring 'Shabad Kirtan' was organized, and the auspicious 'Prasad' was distributed to all attendees. Among those present were Rama Datt, the Executive Trustee of MSMS II Museum, and Ramu Ramdev, OSD of City Palace in charge of Art & Culture.

In celebration of Guru Gobind Singh's Prakash Parv, the historical sword is currently on display at the Sarvtobhadra Chowk of City Palace, open for the public, tourists, and visitors seeking its divine 'darshan.'

The sword holds a historical connection as Guru Gobind Singh, during his time in Nahan (Sirmour district, Himachal Pradesh), presented it to the then ruler as a souvenir before departing. Rajmata Padmini Devi, a native of Nahan, brought the sword to Jaipur several years ago. Since then, this revered artifact has found a sacred abode within the palace, symbolizing a link to the rich history and cultural heritage associated with Guru Gobind Singh.
