'Demand for Indian talent is increasing globally', Foreign Minister Jaishankar said why this is happening
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday stressed the growing role of Indian skills and talent globally and said developed countries of the world are now showing interest in entering into mobility agreements with India. Said this while addressing the conference in 2024. Jaishankar stressed the responsibility of protecting Indian citizens abroad.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday stressed the growing role of Indian skills and talent on the global stage and said developed countries of the world are now showing interest in entering into mobility agreements with India. Addressing the CII Annual Business Summit 2024 in New Delhi, Jaishankar also stressed the responsibility of protecting Indian citizens abroad.
Jaishankar said that 'in the era of knowledge economy, the role of Indian skills and talent is also being re-evaluated. Technological advancement is what is creating more demand, but there is also the reality of demographic shortage in developed countries. These trends are now manifesting across the world in the interest of entering into mobility agreements with India.
The External Affairs Minister also highlighted the successful operations conducted by India to evacuate Indian nationals from Ukraine and Sudan and said that he aims to make India a global hub for innovation, research, and design. He also underlined the crisis prevailing across the world due to the ongoing wars in Ukraine and Gaza and said that the world is facing a 3F crisis of fuel, food grains, and fertilizers, in which India is working with a judicious combination of 'Bharat Pratham' and 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'.
Jaishankar said, 'Terrorism and extremism have started swallowing up those who have been practicing it for a long time. In many ways, we are truly living through a perfect storm. For India, the aim is to reduce its impact and contribute to stabilizing the world as much as possible. It is the judicious combination of 'Bharat First' and 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' that defines our image as 'Vishwa Bandhu'.
