Dausa Excise Officer Kailash Chandra Prajapat arrested taking bribe, ACB took action in Jaipur
Rajasthan: Dausa District Excise Officer Kailash Chandra Prajapat has been caught red-handed by the ACB Jaipur team while taking a bribe of 170000. The matter was about running three licensed excise shops smoothly.
This District Excise Officer Kailash Chandra Prajapat, posted in Dausa district since the time of the previous government, was harassing the licensed shop operators, but no one has complained about it till now. This is the reason why this officer remained safe till now. Today, on the instructions of Jaipur ACB Headquarters, the Jaipur Rural Unit took action and Kailash Chandra Prajapati, District Excise Officer, Dausa, was caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh 70 thousand from the complainant.
Anti-Corruption Bureau Director General Dr. Ravi Prakash Mehrada said that the Jaipur Rural Unit of ACB had a complaint from a complainant that he was running three licensed liquor shops in Dausa city. In lieu of allowing those 3 shops to run smoothly, the accused Kailash Chandra Prajapati, District Excise Officer, Dausa was harassing him by demanding a bribe of Rs. 1.8 lakh as a monthly bond. The complaint was verified by ACB Jaipur and today Dausa District Excise Officer Kailash Chandra Prajapat was caught red-handed taking a bribe of Rs. 170000.
Here, under the supervision of Deputy Inspector General of Police Kaluram Rawat of ACB, Jaipur, a team led by Additional Superintendent of Police Sunil Sihag of ACB Jaipur Rural Unit, today conducted a trap action on Dausa District Excise Officer Kailash Chandra Prajapati on the complaint and caught him red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs. 1.7 lakh from the complainant.
