This may be alarming news if you are an Airtel customer, too. We are saying this because the news of a cyber attack on Airtel has come to light. Airtel has not yet given any official statement regarding this cyber attack.

A user has posted on X and shared that Chinese hackers have accessed Airtel's server, taking out data from nearly 37 crore users. There is an enormous amount of data obtained, including various forms of information like customers' mobile numbers, Aadhaar numbers, and residential addresses.

A screenshot of the data leak has also surfaced. According to the report, this data has now been available for sale on the dark web. An Airtel spokesperson, while talking to Amar Ujala, said that this report is fake. There has been no attack on the server via any cyber matter, hence no data leak.

I am being told that the hacker group has named themselves 'xenZen'. This data has been listed by the account of this group for sale on the dark web. The prescribed price of this data has been stated to be 50,000 dollars, i.e. it comes to be about 41 lakh rupees.
