The last match played here was an ODI between India and Australia in 1986 in which Team India had to face defeat by three wickets.

After four decades, Indian and international cricket stars will play in Kashmir at Srinagar's Bakshi Stadium during the final phase of Legends League Cricket, which begins on September 20 at Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. Franchise-based tournaments will take place in Jodhpur, Surat, and Jammu, with over 200 players competing. The unique feature is that after 38 years, a cricket tournament will be held in Srinagar. The last One-Day International played here was in 1986 between India and Australia, and Team India lost by three wickets.

Six teams will compete in a total of 25 matches, with the final two teams facing off in an exciting final on October 16. The league will begin on September 20 at the Barkatulla Khan Stadium in Jodhpur and move to the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium in Surat on September 27. The third phase will begin on October 6 at Jammu's Maulana Azad Stadium, which hosts international cricket matches. Fans were finally able to see their favorite cricket heroes in action after a 35-year absence.

The final of the LLC will be played at the Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar from October 10. LLC co-founder Raman Raheja said, “Legends League Cricket is back for another season and we are very excited to play in Kashmir this season. It is a great opportunity for the people of Kashmir to come to the stadium and watch live cricket action for the first time in almost 40 years. It also presents a unique opportunity for the cricketers to experience the beauty of Kashmir and enjoy the hospitality and love of the wonderful people of Srinagar.”

In the last edition held in India, cricket fans saw former international greats such as Suresh Raina, Aaron Finch, Martin Guptill, Gautam Gambhir, Chris Gayle, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor and many others showcasing their skills along with 110 other legendary cricketers.

The auction will be held in New Delhi on Thursday, where the franchises will compete for the biggest stars of India and international cricket, featuring over 200 players.
