Cozy Up with Creamy Mushroom Pasta: The Perfect Weeknight Dinner Recipe
Introducing the latest addition to your weeknight dinner repertoire: Creamy Mushroom Pasta! This easy-to-follow recipe is perfect for a cozy night in, and it's sure to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.
To make this dish, you'll need the following ingredients:
- 12 oz. pasta (we recommend fettuccine or linguine)
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 oz. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
To begin, cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic and sauté until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender and golden, stirring occasionally. This should take about 10 minutes.
Reduce the heat to low and add the heavy cream to the skillet, stirring until well combined. Let the cream mixture simmer for a few minutes until it starts to thicken.
Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the skillet and stir until it is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Once the pasta is done cooking, drain it and add it to the skillet with the mushroom sauce. Toss the pasta and sauce together until the pasta is well coated.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve the creamy mushroom pasta hot and garnish with extra Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley, if desired.
Enjoy your new go-to weeknight dinner recipe!
