Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury will file a statement before the Committee of Privileges, because of this action was taken

Senior Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, suspended from the Lok Sabha, will record his statement before the Committee of Privileges on Wednesday (August 30). He has to appear before the parliamentary panel at 12.30 pm today. During the monsoon session, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi had moved a motion seeking the suspension of Adhir Ranjan citing his bad behavior in Parliament.

In fact, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was accused of misbehaving when Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union ministers were addressing Parliament during the monsoon session. As soon as the no-confidence motion brought against the central government was rejected, the government moved a suspension motion against Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, which was passed by a voice vote in the lower house.

Lok Sabha Speaker has decided to continue the suspension of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury till now. The suspension will continue till the Privileges Committee of the Lok Sabha investigates his case and reports to the House. This action has been taken against Ranjan on the basis of allegations of his misbehavior in the House, misrepresenting the image of the country and repeatedly disrupting the proceedings of the House.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, accepting the proposal, announced the suspension of Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury from the House. It is alleged that during the discussion on the no-confidence motion, Chaudhary had made several objectionable comments against the government including the PM in the House. However, many of these passages were quickly expunged after objections from the government.

Explain that the parliamentary panel will investigate his statement regarding the suspension of Adhir Ranjan and submit a report to the House through the chairman of the committee. Sunil Singh, BJP MP from Jharkhand, is the chairman of the Committee of Privileges.
