The report said that security researchers have discovered a major flaw due to which the data of 30 lakh users has been leaked. This data leak has been done by taking advantage of a flaw and inserting malware code in the app.
Cyber security firm EVA Information Security has said in its report that three such bugs have been found in CocoaPods which were identified earlier. This bug was first reported in 2014. To take advantage of this bug, hackers took the help of API and email ID which they got from CocoaPods.
With this data leak of CocoaPods, information of users of millions of iOS and macOS apps has reached hackers and based on that data, they can be cheated at any time.
